On the job training is available during normal repair processes from the lead technician.
Non-technical training opportunities are very extensive including reading material, audio programs and video programs on a variety of subjects.
Currently a wildly important goal of Lashley Tractor Sales is to reduce our average customer machine turn around time to less than one day. In order to achieve this we apply continuous improvement methodology to all work processes. Changes we have made include:
Movement of high turn parts to the technician work area for direct charging to the job.
Implementation of laptop computers in the work area to allow for parts look-up, service manual consultation, on-line manufacturer support, job time tracking and repair job management.
These items are being built upon at all times to improve the speed of the workflow which also enhances the productivity of each technician.
Our compensation plan is based on the development level of the employee as follows:
Level One Technicians possess basic service skills and can perform set-up work, machine preventative maintenance and basic repair processes. The pay per hour for this position is $15.50. The highest level of commission is awarded for recovery levels that are 85% or higher. Commissions can run as high as $2,000.00 on a monthly basis.
